Do I have to activate my code?
Yes, if you do not activate your code, we cannot identify the owner of the lost item(s).
A finder reports the code of the found item(s) to us and if you are activated we can contact you.
Do I have to copy or print my code?
It is best that you save your code to make sure that you can pass the code to us if you have lost an item. In that way the owner of the lost item(s) can be found sooner.
How do I retrieve my lost item?
If we receive a code from a lost item, we can contact you by means of your registration data (e-mail address). Itemlocator will then make an appointment to return the lost item(s). You can either come and collect the lost item or we can send it to you by courier.
What does it cost to return my lost item?
Returning lost items is for free in Belgium. If you lost your item abroad, you only have to pay for the courier costs.
I have found a lost item, what do I have to do now?
You have found a lost item with our website and a code on it, go to the homepage, and then to the submenu Found, or click here.
Do I have to reward the finder?
No. There will be no contact between the finder and the owner, because we want to respect everyone’s privacy and because we do not want possible fraudulent finders to abuse of the found items.
The finder can win a beautiful trip and lots of other prices, which we give out once a year to some of the finders.
